Summer Camps

Are you seeking creative summer fun?  


​The Arts Center of Greenwood offers a variety of summer camps to capture the imagination and interest of any young artist. Having your child participate in one or multiple of our summer camp offerings is a great way to foster creative thinking, problem-solving, and fun. Our typical summer camp season runs from May - July each year. Summer Camp themes for the the 2023 season are listed below.

Little Crafters

In this one-week camp, participants will learn from different local artisans about the process of crafting a "sellable" product and the journey of creating an arts-based business. Participants will create a variety of items to sell during the SC Festival of Flowers main weekend; raising funds to donate to a charity of their choosing.

Dates: June 5 - 9 
Time: 9:00 am - 2:00 pm (drop off begins @ 8:45 am, bring lunch and water bottle daily)
Ages: 6 - 12
Instructor: Taylor Dublin
Admission: $170 members / $190 non-member (pre-registration required)

Budding Artist 

In this one-week camp, participants will be immersed in different forms of artmaking, painting, drawing, sculpting, collage and more! Participants will engage in basic fine art skills and experiment with non-traditional materials. Participants will collaborate with others and be budding with creativity by the end of this camp!  

Dates: June 19 - 23
Time: 9:00 am - 2:00 pm (drop off begins @ 8:45 am, bring lunch and water bottle daily)
Ages: 6 - 12

Creating with Clay

In this one-week camp, participants will expand their clay hand-building skills while creating both functional and sculptural forms. Participants will work with the three methods of pinching, coiling, and slab building and will create a variety of forms such as bowls, mugs, etc. Prior experience with clay is not required.

Dates: June 12 - 16
Time: 9:00 am - 2:00 pm (drop off begins @ 8:45 am, bring lunch and water bottle daily)
Ages: 6 - 12

STEAM

Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math come together in this STEAM-themed summer camp! In this one-week camp, participants will create multiple art pieces using a variety of science-based processes and materials. This camp is perfect for inquiring minds that love to hypothesize, experiment, and create.

Dates: July 10 - 14
Time: 9:00 am - 2:00 pm (drop off begins @ 8:45 am, bring lunch and water bottle daily)
Ages: 6 -12
