Earth Into Art

Do you enjoy collecting handmade artwork and supporting local artisans?

The Arts Center of Greenwood will host a sixth annual Earth Into Art sale on Saturday, April 18 @ 9:00 am - 2:00 pm. This highly anticipated event has a special twist this year - it will double as an Earth Day Hooray celebration in partnership Greenwood County SC Government.

Earth Into Art sale features regional artists from local art guilds presenting a variety of handmade items for sale including basketry, pottery, woodwork, paintings, prints, bags, jewelry and more. The event will also include live art demonstrations throughout the day, food truck fare, and interactive crafts and activities including a cool "makerspace" and for the whole family. There will also be an opportunity to participate in an immersive and collaborative art piece which will be created entirely from recycled/upcycled materials!

Earth Day Hooray is geared towards children and their families in celebration of "Earth Day!" The goal of this event is that each individual leaves with a better understanding and appreciation of the environment around them. Families will get to interact with local initiatives that fully believe in the phrase "think locally, act globally." Resources and organizations will be on site to educate families on how they can get more involved locally - like doing something as small as recycling the right things to as big as organizing their own litter clean-ups. The event will include guest organizations from all over the region with information tables, interactive activities, and giveaways!
