The Arts Center of Greenwood hosts seasonal robotics teams who meet, learn, plan, and compete together against other regional teams through FIRST Lego League (FLL). FIRST Lego League introduces science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) to children through fun, hands-on learning. Participants gain real world problem-solving experiences through a guided, global robotics program, helping today’s students and teachers build a better future together. There are three divisions which inspire youth to experiment and grow their critical thinking, coding, and design skills through hands-on STEM learning and robotics.
The Arts Center of Greenwood will be hosting two First Lego League Robotics teams during the 2024 calendar year.
First Lego League Explore (Ages 6 - 9) This team will meet during the Spring Season of 2024 and will be lead by Taylor Dublin and Jessi Baker.
First Lego League Challenge (Ages 9 - 15) This team will meet during the Fall Season of 2024 and will be lead by Paul Cuenin.
