Art Class

The Arts Center of Greenwood offers art opportunities for youth year-round. Our educational programs include after school art classes, seasonal mini camps, holiday workshops and more. Afterschool Art Class (Monthly)

These classes typically meet once monthly, on Tuesday afternoons from 4:00 - 5:30 pm. These classes are designed for youth grades 1st - 6th.

Winter Fox Painting / January

In this class, participants will use mixed media to paint a wintery fox scene.

Snowy Self Portrait / February

In this class, participants will use mixed media to create a wintery self-portrait.

Dream Room Triorama / March

In this class, participants will use mixed media to build a triorama of an imaginative place/room.

Spring Printmaking / April

In this class, participants will use printmaking techniques to create a Spring floral still-life.

Abstract Windsocks / August

In this class, participants will use mixed media to create kinetic windsocks.

Autumn Naturescape / September

In this class, participants will learn how to paint an Autumn-themed naturescape.

Haunted House / October

In this class, participants will use mixed media to create a haunted house silhouette scene.

Clay Class (Monthly)

These classes meet once monthly, on the "Final Friday" of each month from 4:00 - 6:00 pm. These classes are designed for youth 1st - 6th grade.

Heart Cup + Dish / January

In this clay class, participants will create one heart cup and dish using hand-building techniques.

In this clay class, participants will create a hot air balloon-themed wall-hanging.

Bunny Wall Pocket / March

In this clay class, participants will create a bunny wall-hanging pocket.

Picture Frame / April

In this clay class, participants will create a one-of-a-kind, wall-hanging picture frame.

Bird in a Nest / May

In this clay class, participants will create a wall-hanging nest of birds.

Empty Bowls / August

In this clay class, participants will create bowls to contribute to the annual soup kitchen fundraiser.

Candle Sculptures / September

In this clay class, participants will create candles using hand-building techniques with slabs of clay.

Ghosts / October
