The Arts Center of Greenwood hosts seasonal robotics teams who meet, learn, plan, and compete together against other regional teams through FIRST Lego League (FLL). FIRST Lego League introduces science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) to children through fun, hands-on learning. Participants gain real world problem-solving experiences through a guided, global robotics program, helping today’s students and teachers build a better future together. There are three divisions which inspire youth to experiment and grow their critical thinking, coding, and design skills through hands-on STEM learning and robotics.
The Arts Center of Greenwood will be hosting three First Lego League Robotics teams during the 2025 calendar year. All teams for this year are full, but we are accepting interest forms for the 2026 seasons.
First Lego League Challenge (Ages 9 - 15) This team meets during September 2024 - January 2025 will be led by Paul Cuenin. First Lego League Explore (Ages 6 - 9) This team meets January - March of 2025 and will be led by Taylor Dublin and Jessi Baker.
First Lego League Discover (Ages 4 - 6) This team meets in March of 2025 and will be led by James Crowder.
