What are the most frequently asked questions about our venue?
What is required to secure my date? We require a security deposit and signed contract to secure a date on our calendar.
Can I remove or rearrange the art displayed in the Gallery? No. It is understood that the space being rented may display 2D art on the walls of the gallery. These works are considered a fixed part of the rental space and are not to be covered, moved, altered, or rearranged in any manner. We will move 3D art from the floor before your event. The gallery is open to the public on weekdays from 10:00 am - 5:00 pm and 10:00 am - 3:00 pm on Saturdays. Events in the gallery may not begin until after the gallery is closed.
How large can my event be? Capacity depends on the type of event you are hosting, but the following is a guideline:
Reception Hall
120 people seated with tables and chairs (no dance area)
80 seated with tables, chairs, and dance area
150 people lecture style seating with an aisle
Gallery
136 people seated with tables, chairs, and (with dance area)
200 people seated with tables, chairs, and (no dance area)
Conference Room

Do you allow alcohol? We allow alcoholic beverages to be served by a licensed and insured bartender who is approved by The Arts Center of Greenwood. Approved security personnel must be present during the event if alcohol is served.
What is included in the rental?
Tables/Chairs (we will set up our tables and chairs the day before your event if a layout is provided by the Monday before the event)

When can I set up and decorate?
The venue access for a wedding day is 12 hours. Access to the venue may begin at 10:00 am. Cleanup must conclude by midnight. If additional time is needed on Saturday, a fee of $100 per hour will be applied. The wedding weekend rental package may be purchased if Friday is needed.

What are the requirements of my caterer? All caterers must have a City of Greenwood Business License (one-time event license/annual license). A copy of the license must be provided to the venue prior to the event. All caterers are also required to provide the venue with a certificate of insurance.
Where can my guests park?
Saturday - Sunday, all spaces in the rear parking lot of the venue may be used, as well as unlimited time for the front of the venue.
Monday - Friday, parking is available in the Hampton Place Shopping Center lot which is adjacent to The Arts Center of Greenwood on Main Street after 5:00 pm, use same as weekends.
What do I have to do to clean up at the end of my event? All rental areas must be cleaned and free of trash and debris. Please bag all garbage and place in the dumpster at the rear of the theatre. Any cleaning not done will be deducted from the security deposit.
